PeerGFS secures data transmission between the PMC, Agents, and brokers using TLS encryption. TLS is also used to secure access to the PMC web user interface and API service. It relies on keys and certificates for host authentication and data encryption.
By default, PeerGFS includes preconfigured certificates. However, you can replace some or all of these with new certificates, either self-signed or issued by a Certificate Authority (CA).
PeerGFS includes utility scripts to simplify TLS certificate generation and replacement. For details on using these scripts, see the knowledge base article Replace TLS Certificates.
