Telemetry allows selected diagnostic, health, and performance information from a PeerGFS environment to be shared with Peer Software. This information helps Peer Software improve PeerGFS, identify trends, and provide better support for customer environments.
PeerGFS telemetry includes Anonymous Diagnostic Data and Proactive Monitoring.
Anonymous diagnostic data helps Peer Software improve PeerGFS by sharing anonymized information about product usage, configuration, and diagnostic conditions. This information helps Peer Software understand how PeerGFS is used and where product improvements may be needed.
Anonymous diagnostic data does not include customer-identifiable information.
Proactive Monitoring gives the Peer Software Technical Account Manager (TAM) team regular insight into the health and performance of a PeerGFS environment. It is intended to help the TAM team identify potential issues, review environment trends, and provide more informed assistance.
Proactive Monitoring can include information about PeerGFS Agents, jobs, and PMC activity. Collected data is securely uploaded to a Peer Software-owned Microsoft Azure storage account and is accessible only to authorized Peer Software employees.
Note: Proactive Monitoring is available only to customers with dedicated TAMs.
